Their songs, style and stage antics won audiences from young to old and from one corner of the world to the other. As the sad news of their decision to call time on their illustrious career begins to sink in, this film is an opportunity to look back at what Chas and Dave did best - entertain! The combination of the talents of Chas Hodges and Dave Peacock is perfectly illustrated by their appearance at the 1986 Peterborough Country Music Festival. The sales of their albums and singles together with their television appearances represent only one part of their success, indeed they are most at home performing live on stage both in the UK and overseas. The songs included in this video make it not only the quintessential Chas and Dave live performance but a perfect tribute to a unique musical duo.

Jossy Blair (Jim Barclay) was a talented footballer in his youth. But his career was cut short after he injured himself during his first game for Newcastle United. One day Jossy sees the local youth football club, the Glipton Grasshoppers, struggle in a match, and offers the boys some much-needed advice on improving their game. After hearing about Jossy's past and reputation, the Grasshoppers, along with their friend and number one fan Tracey (Julie Foy), decide they need his expertise, and convince Jossy to become their new manager. Jossy takes on the seemingly mammoth task of training the cheeky and boisterous boys in the team. But with some organisation, a change of attitude, and a lot of humour along the way, he transforms them into a respectable team, the Glipton Giants. First shown on BBC One in 1986, 'Jossy's Giants' has since become an iconic TV series fondly remembered by a generation of football mad children who grew up in the eighties. Galina Belyayeva and James Fox star in this exquisitely beautiful film biography of the legendary prima ballerina Anna Pavlova. This special Western version of the epic Anglo-Russian production was written and directed by Michael Powell. From her humble childhood in pre-revolutionary St. Petersburg, Anna Pavlova (Galina Belyayeva) dreamed of nothing but the ballet. Rising to stardom through the Imperial Ballet and the Ballets Russes of Sergei Diaghilev (Vsevolod Larionov), she became the toast of the Russian court and then all of Europe's aristocracy. But Pavlova dreamed of still more. Aided by her childhood friend Mikhail (Sergey Shakurov) and her husband and Impresario Victor D'Andre (James Fox), she would raise ballet to new heights, explore new methods of dance and take the beauty of her art to the furthest corners of the world... With breath-taking cinematography from locations around the world, "Pavolva: A Woman For All Time" also features some of the finest ballet sequences ever filmed - as performed by soloists from The State Academy of Theatre, Opera and Ballet and the Kirov and Bolshoi Ballet.
A young woman drowns in 1860. Although it was an accident her death was recorded as suicide, considered to be a mortal sin at the time. Consequently her spirit lives on in a state of torment. Over a century later Tess (Judith Allchurch), a teenager, experiences memories that aren't her own. These nightmarish visions of a drowning woman become too real for comfort and Tess convinces her friend David (Ian Stevens), a fellow history buff, to help her investigate the mysterious death. The pair must prove that the historical suicide was in fact a 'death by accident', in order to free Tess of her horrifying flashbacks. Little do they realise that their findings could also release the tormented spirit and finally let her soul rest in peace.

Playing himself, the incomparable Bob Hope reigns as top comic banana over one of the most star-studded casts ever assembled. Joining him are Bing Crosby, Gary Cooper, Alan Ladd, Barbara Stanwyck, and many, many more, in a comedy classic set amid the 'reality' of a Hollywood studio in the 1940s. Starlet wannabe, Amber La Vonne is mistaken for her friend, the beautiful and talented Catherine Brown. While the zany Amber flubs her way from audition to screen test to stage debut, Catherine can't seem to keep her - head above water. Along the way, the madness stops only long enough for musical numbers by Pearl Bailey, Spike Jones and His City Slickers, The Mulcays, and a rare puppetoon version of 'Romeow and Juliacat'. Topped off by an A-list all star variety revue, this is one of the most madcap and hilarious comedies ever filmed.
