Complete second series of the British television drama, set in the boardrooms of big business and high finance, as ambitious and ruthless managing director John Wilder (Patrick Wymark) lets nothing stand in the way of his growing business empire.
1. Nothing's FreeSir John Wilder enters into negotiations with a Dutch/ltalian consortium to secure £50 million backing to aid the development of several projects. In doing so he comes into conflict with Bligh.
2. Ambassador Status
Caswell Bligh is the new chairman of the NEB - a position of power he has desired for some time, so it's unfortunate that the Press is speculating on the Board's future.
3. Grounds for Decision
Caswell Bligh - duty bound as a politician not to have interests in commercial dealings - tries to pressurise Don Henderson into backing his theory for construction contracts surrounding the expansion of US airbases in England.
4. The Front Men
Don Henderson and Kenneth Bligh lose out on a lucrative Arabian deal to Hagadan. Wilder is outraged when he finds out the reason for losing the deal is that he has been blacklisted by the Arabs for dealing with Israel.
5. A Matter for Speculation
Wilder is summoned to Italy for an emergency meeting on one of their engineering contracts while Caswell Bligh outrages his son when he suggest the company bankroll a Chair in Civil Engineering at a local University.
6. The Big View
Kenneth Bligh is perturbed to discover that Wilder is subcontracting out some of the construction work to an Italian company rather than doing it with their own workforce.
7. The Dead Sea Fruit
Pamela Wilder has reached the end of her tether with her sham of a marriage-Determined to leave John Wilder she is flattered by the attentions of a young artist.
8. The Chicken Run
The race is on for a multimillion pound contract in the emergent African nation of Mogalia. It's Bligh and Wilder versus Hagadan and none of them are pulling punches.

Tensions rise in Mogalia as Kenneth Bligh is served a deportation order, courtesy of the machinations of Hagadan.
10. The Side of the Angels
Caswell Bligh is appalled over the fallout of the Mogalia scandal. His anger is mollified somewhat when Wilder tells him that they are a dead certainty for a multi-million pound bridge contract.
11. Tax Return
Caswell Bligh is pressurising Kenneth and Wilder to expand operations into Yugoslavia. Though he insists it's a sensible business decision Wilder knows that he is angling for a knighthood.
12. Where Do I Want to Go?
Susan Weldon is put on the spot when Stephen Gray gives her an ultimatum - she has to choose between either him or Wilder.
13. There's No Such Thing as a Dead Heat
