The Intruders is a pretty standard film. The storyline has been done time and time again and doesnt really offer anything new. The lead characters are fairly 2d (Micahel Ealy looks bored throughout) and Dennis Quaid is playing the typical nice guy turns bad guy stalker at a flick of a switch. It isnt terrible but it's highly likely you have seen a similar better version of this film at 3pm on Channel 5.
Managed to get to the end of this film but not very much happens. It's clear the director/writer enjoyed the location shots but this is one of those films that will unlikely be talked about by anyone after.
First off this was a film that I have been meaning to watch for a while.
Pros
-Acting was great from both Robin and Robert. Also great supporting cast
- interesting and fairly sad look at the lives of those who suffered this disease.
The only negative was it was watchable but I dont think it was one that stood out. Good film but not sure it was a classic for me.
I've seen so many horror films that it becomes classic, decent, so bad it's good and just plain bad. This film fits into the latter category.
This is simply pure trash. The characters are poor and the attempt to push the feminist agenda would work if the writer knew what point they wanted to make. Sadly this is just a huge mess, which is a shame as it had the potential to put a good new spin on the original film.
What can I say I really love this film.
Tim Burton had some classic films back in the 90s. This film at time mixes fantasy with a sort of slasher film style deaths.
Watched this film so many times and still enjoy it.
If you like the music of Elton John then it's likely you will enjoy this film like I did. However as a biopic I would say full marks for doing something a bit different but I'm not sure it's a film I would watch again. More likely it will just make you want to listen to the soundtrack instead.
This is such a good film and was in my top 10 from last year.
It's full of humour throughout on the conversation between these 2 men but is equally heartbreaking at the prejudice faced by so many even to this day.
This film never tried to preach but instead shows emotion to make people understand.
I really enjoyed this film. Its got heart and funny scenes throughout. The characters both old and new are great too.
The only negative is that some of the main toys are sidelined by the story, however Forky is a great character and deserves a spin off film surely.
A decent drama for once. I would say some bits are a bit far fetched at times but this is both gripping and sad at the same time.
It kept me watching to the end and I would recommend anyone who missed it on tv to rent it and enjoy
I kept being told to watch this by people who know me as they said it would be right up my street.
I'm fascinated by the incident and thought this would be as good as everyone has been saying
My first issue is with the poor attempts at a Ukraine accent from most of the cast.
2nd this seemed more about the political fall out and less about the incident itself.
Watched to the end but I feel like I've either watched a different show or maybe my expectations were too high.
I would recommend this if you want an animated film that is enjoyable and fun. It's by no means a classic but its above average and will keep you entertained throughout.
Much like the first film this is rather harmless but totally forgettable. The acting is ok and the storyline runs at a decent pace. It does feel at times like they played it safe and it shows.
I've heard a bit about the legend that is Kaiser but didnt know too much about his story. This film gives a good insight and shows the funny side of his story but then as it goes along you start to see more of the man himself and loneliness. Not the best documentary ever but it's an interesting one for any football fans.
I got bored half way through. What could of been a really insightful film was dealt with in a very dull way. Despite a fairly good cast, I cant say anyone stood out. I found this film very slow and I doubt this will be a film I remember in days to come.
This was a really insightful film and I found the performances really good. Lucas Hedges was great (although would say he was better in Ben Is Back). The film is rather sad and makes you think how awful it must of been for people going through this situation.
