I stopped watching this film after about half an hour and immediately felt better. The characters looked young and attractive but sounded dissatisfied and uninteresting.
This film documents the extraordinary life of Ruth Bader Ginsberg with particular emphasis on the sexist bias she struggled against throughout her career. I found it engrossing and thought it was well-acted.
This film shows how Billi, an expatriate Chinese girl played by Awkwafina, copes with the imminent death from cancer of her grandmother who lives in China. Apparently, Awkwafina studied Mandarin so that she could speak to her own grandmother and in the film Billi is supposed to have limited Chinese but gets by with it. Awkwafina is almost always on screen either with a blank expression or a glum one. This is a film for her fans. The film is also about certain aspects of Chinese family life and how these are different from the customary American way. It's interesting. After the film has ended, there is a nice touch with news of the grandmother.
