It's hard to review a film which shouldn't have been made. IMHO the entire film should have been scrapped. It contains only one amateurish actor and yet it took 200+ people to make. Coupled together with the 300 or so crowd funders who made this film possible it's a damn insult to have squandered their contributions on such utter garbage. Another Saturday night ruined!
For anyone who struggles with strong accents or is a little hard of hearing, ..'Poster Boys' will disappoint. The disc doesn't contain subtitles so the broad Northern Irish accent is very difficult to follow making this film virtually unwatchable. From what I could understand the main characters, Uncle & Nephew have to travel around Ireland putting up posters (hence the title) and then taking photos of them. Hardly what you would call a gripping storyline. Very disappointing!
I can only agree with the other reviews here. This film is based on a true story and made in honour of the two lead characters but it couldn't be more of an insult to their memory if it tried. For a start, this film is only 75 minutes long so as you might imagine the storyline is rushed but that's quite an understatement. Each scene last just seconds before you're abruptly lead into the next seemingly unrelated scene. The acting is very wooden and amateurish as is the filming technique. The lighting engineer must have been asleep when they made this film, so many scenes are overly bright and washed out giving the appearance that some scenes were shot in black & white. Then to top it off and what really got my goat was this film was shot with a MONO sound track, WHY?!!!! Viewing it on my 7.1 surround system made it sound like the soundtrack was coming from an old battery radio so hardly something that would wow the viewer. As a final comment to the film maker, continuity is everything and television satellite dishes weren't around in 1946! Yes in one scene you can really see one on the side of a house! Don't waste your time watching this movie, it really is pants!
There's not much to like about this film and to be honest if you do watch it, you'll soon be reminded of another film sharing pretty much the same storyline, 'Ex Machina'. Whilst quite ground breaking at the time that film had quite a dark undertone which left the viewer feeling somewhat depressed. The same can be said for Archive, the storyline is weak and a poor attempt to copy something we've already seen right down to the similarity in the location it's filmed. Quite frankly Theo James was the only thing worth watching in this film but why he would risk his career on something so low budget is beyond me. The rest of the film had me grinding my teeth in despair!! Complete rubbish in my opinion but hey, some people are more easily pleased.
I've seen some poor films in my lifetime but this one really hits rock bottom! I knew within the first 5 minutes that I wouldn't enjoy this film, the acting is dire and the storyline non existant . Utter garbage in my opinion!!
A poorly executed low budget zombie movie which lacks direction and focus. Acting is dire and story line so limp it will leave you wondering why you bothered. Not recommended.
There's not a lot that can be said about this film except that you'd be better off spending 97 mins mowing the lawn or painting something. From the get go this film fails to deliver anything of substance and leaves your mind wandering wishing that you had chosen something else. Believe me it's no fun watching an actor playing the part of his twin who shares the same body, the conversations they have with one another via a video feed are pointless and boring. Sadly a 'Zero' rating is not possible on here so I give one star under protest.

A disappointing depressing movie with terrible acting and dubbed in English, not what I was expecting.
Nicole Kidman and Collin Farrell give an understated almost wooden performance in this movie which left me feeling very disappointed. The story-line is terrible and the slow pace of the movie left me wondering why the producer even bothered making it. Not something that I would recommend watching!
