A good bit of horror fun. An AI companion robot launching as a kids toy. I mean, what could go wrong?
Remember enjoying this as a child. I had vague memories of a hot summers day and sitting on wooden chairs with the windows wide open in an attempt to cool down. I thought it was ironic the JCVD was doing the same in this.
As a film, I didn't know if it was witty or comedic. It had punch lines that just didn't work. It was so bad that it was bad instead of good, put it that way.
A suprisngly humanistic approach to a man-made disaster. Mainstream has a tendency to veer on the patriotic hero. Whilst this does contain ingredients of the sort, it does focus on their experiences, along with a Malkovick villain to blame.
Perfect film to entertain in a home cinema. A massive prehistoric shark, Jason Statham, what more could you ask for!
I'd give it 3.5*
David Lynch really brings it home with this film. The way he uses the soundtrack to create mystery and tell a story is unparalleled. I can't wait to watch it again.
Personally this film is another level. It combines genres, leading it's audience through a puzzle of it is, no it isn't! The scene where John Goodman has a clean shave, well... Shit just got real!
Atmos soundtrack is brilliant to.
