Well worth watching. Like a low budget John Wick. Plus some very funny moments and best of all......... Doc Brown!! Clearly he has put time travelling on hold for the moment..... or has he!!
Switch your brain off for an hour and a half and just enjoy the movie.
If you did not know this film is based on Disney purchasing the rights to Mary Poppins in order to make the original film. While possibly not all 100% accurate it is still well worth a watch. Emma Thompson does a wonderful job of a 'prim and proper' English Author whose character frustrates to start with but then warms as the films progresses. Colin Farrell does a decent job, but holds an Australian accent like Christopher Lambert holds a Scottish one. Tom Hanks is a wonderful Walt Disney. Certain scenes and parts of this film take me back to memories of my childhood, watching the original film and visiting Disney Land for the first time. You smile when you see the dated Disney merchandise to mark the time of film. Whether you are a Disney fan or not (I am!) this film is worth watching.
Acting - 2 out of 5
Plot - 2 out of 5
Worth watching - absolutely!
Scott Adkins is part gymnast, part martial artist and 100% NINJA!!!!!
Michael Jai White's kick could take down a rhino
The fight scenes are spectacular
Ignore the dodgy accents and the minimal budget. Stop thinking for 90 minutes and gaze in wonder as the two gifted fighters put on a performance that made me put my back out just thinking about the moves they execute
From the review scores I was not expecting much, I selected the film to see what else Ragnar Lodbrok had starred in. I was pleasantly surprised with the film. The casting of the brothers is very good. Billy Bob Thornton is also very good. There are some very funny moments as well as some touching ones. Nice easy watch if you like shoot 'em ups or grindhouse.
I watched this film with no expectations. The first one was quite good. This however, was a poor mash-up that just did not seem to work.
I liked the 1984 concept, you get taken back to the 80's era of vibrant colours, big shoulders and even bigger hair.
The story is reasonable too. A little far fetched but considering all the others anomalies in the recent super hero films you go with it
The acting is shocking, so wooden (with the exception of young Diana). The most interesting character is recently famous for wearing a helmet on Disney +.
The flying scenes are cringe worthy.
The action scenes involve WW lunging in that general direction. WW gains new super powers at the specific moment that she needs them. Suddenly she can turn an entire plane invisible??
Towards the end of the film I did get a little nostalgic towards 'Thunder Cats' for some reason
One to avoid
