Unforgetable. This is a powerful and subtle study of a marriage, of love and hate. Over 5 years, through court appearances in front of three rabbis, Vivienne and Elisha Amsalem, members of their families, friends and neighbours gradually build the picture of their marriage, one from which she is desperate to escape and he is desperate to hold on to. What has kept them together for 20 years? What is pulling them apart? How could the freedom of a woman be finally affirmed when it is in the husband’s gift to release her? Compelling performances, entirely persuasive.
