Saw with 4 grand children, and they followed it all the way through. Some of the banter is aimed at an older audience, but the mad action went down well.
At end of the day, was no swearing, and plenty of funny moments to keep kids attention throughout. The Tom and Jerry violence is not much different, perhaps even less than, Home Alone...............
Was dreading it, another freaky kids film gone wrong, but actually quite enjoyed it. The Shining sequence was good fun. Something a bit different. Hunger Games meets Thor.............
Really quite boring. Watched it all through, but not really involved enough in all the silliness to worry what happens to the main characters.
Simmons been around and done some good supporting roles. Whiplash was excellent appearance. This is predictable for sure, but is well done, and not too smaltzy...........
Neeson on a money spinner with all these similar films. This one a bit better done than most to be fair. Some are just back to back. Levels of needless violence are varied.
Murder on Orient Express gone to more mundane level, but better than most of his films. All a long way from Schindler's List for sure.
Was well done and well acted and worth 3 all day, but found it a bit drear, and not really bothered what happened to anybody by the end.
To be fair, found it quite good. Nice to see lesser folk get a break. Storyline similar to loads, but found Oyelowo quite engaging, and credible performance.
Everyone had a good time, and seemed to actually enjoy what they were doing. Not going to set critics alight, but way better than a lot of expensive films with big names..........
Not Taxi Driver. Been done. Pretty pointless film. Tries to be moody and clever, but best just stick to zombies and heads rotating etc.
Never did rate Bill Pullman very highly, and as a down on the ranch type hurdy gurdy........it is not convincing. Fonda earns a few quid, could have been anyone really.
Made up cowboy claptrap, as usual. John Wayne films look good again in comparison.
End up watching films with the grand children, and actually finding them more imaginative, better made, with some sort of storyline going on!
No exploding heads and livers, and no rank swearing all the way through.
Bring on entertainment!
Has to be a 3 for Gary's performance alone. Bit simplistic on the history. The underground cameo was written up as actually happening at some point.......not sure if actually did, or was a nice spin/idea, would have to research that.
Quite a bit has probably been bent a bit to fit, but the Asquith and King likeness very well done.
Folks in London, and on tube, way cleaner and brighter than would have been of course. My grand parents were in Stratford during the war, the other grand parents were in a pub alongside Hanworth Aerodrome in Feltham........not much colour and cleanliness back there!
Renner does adequate job. Skimpy solo lady from FBI a bit doubtful as they normally work in pairs, like Jehovas and Mormons etc.
Sound track was indeed not good. Lots of moody mumblings going on...........
Saw other write ups, but watched on projector, with some kids, probably helped, but i really enjoyed the film. Reading the books would help as well of course.
Quite often the kids films appear to be better made than the adults! As have 4 grand children, tend to see them all, and the lack of effing and blinding, and chain saws etc, is quite a relief.
Dustin had two lines in this film, for some reason..........alas prob not get any now the mighty American witch hunt is on. Kevin prob never be seen again? Wonder if he get some more stage work over here? Doubtful, as the media be all geared up...............
Bit like the Japanese cartoons, you get it or you do not.........alas i do not see the angle on this film being clever/interesting. Was not really bothered about the characters at all. Self absorbed arty crafties, living on the excess of western world................
Wonder if Will Ferrell will take note, and do some more proper film parts? Jim not wired-up crazy person for once. Quite competent actor in fact. Have to give it 4 instead of 3, as just so few decent films about. Plus there is no violence or swearing!
Martin Landau is old school, and does excellent work...........Bob Babalan been around for more years than can remember, and also lends credibility.......the old cars could have been a bit scruffier, as all looked collectors items.........as they probably are of course............
