Bit predictable-twist-in-the-end, but Kevion always worth a watch to be fair. Not a patch on the Usual Suspects, but rolls along fairly intact to the end.
Well played by all. Only gave it 3 stars as the Imitation Game was a better film, and Daniel Day was better in My Left Foot. That performance made this one, and even Dustin in Rain Man, look like number 2/3.............................
Finishes the saga, and sad to see Robin Williams still soldiering on as Teddy, although he shortly to join the items in the museum himself. He did so many great things.
Stiller and Wilson earn some more money for just cantering along.
If like the format will appreciate the consistency.
Large sweaty guy is irresistible to young, slight, fairly pretty girl. Yeah, right. Americans seem to plug the concept quite a bit in most films.
Similar concept to National Security, which is a great film, and way faster moving.
Not too bad though. Low teens will prob like it more than more mature viewers. Will see number 2, as loads worse films out there.
If like the first film, while doubtless like the rest. All good dosh for the actors and computer men for sure. Get a bit deja vu with all the noise and computer graphics type films now. X men and transformers and die hard and mission imposs etc etc. Simple and well acted films quite a reief......Imitation game is good example............
Seymour was just getting the hang of playing plausible people. Shame he went under. Holds attention most all the time.
OK film to rent and watch, but not pay and see. Concept is fairly similar to other time-lapse type impossibilities, but is worth a look. Spot the little boy from AI etc.....bit more porky, but eyes have that slightly quirky thing about them.
Bill Murray has something that keeps your attention, but the little boy almost upstages him! After he has a stroke he becomes a re-run of Caddyshack character, with the slurry speech, so is a nice touch.
One of those films that could easily slip into the banal Adam Sandler/Diz Waltney genre, but is fortunately saved by the main players.
If want to see a pleasant film with no exploding livers or plastic robots, then this could be one to book..........
Tommy is old and wind swept, and talks with the yee-ha accent he seems to have now made his signature in all films. Try to get some empathy with him, but at the end is a slightly thick, self indulgent, simple cowboy........so probably a pretty good cameo of the times!
Duvall always worth watching, and although the storyline is quite predictable, works quite well with Downey.
See The Outfit with Duvall when he was younger. Joe Don Baker in that as well, who was great with Walter Matthau in Charlie Varrick......similar era crime films. Slow by todays standards, but still a good watch..............
Slightly a TV drama type film, but keeps attention, and has bonus of Mark Strong as well. Bit like Groundhog Day and 50 Dates with a bit of edge going on.
Since Slumdog and Exotic Marigold, there seems to be a bandwagon rolling. Spielberg and Opra seem to want to make a few bob for just jumping on and gliding to the bank.
Quite a decent little film to rent and watch, but would not want to pay money in the cinema to be fair..............
Lot better than the Bullock/Clooney extravaganza to nowhere. Not sure why, but does hold interest for most of the film. Love the 2001 Space Odessey black-block-comes-to-life robots. Quite clever those.
Gave it 4 as 3 a bit mean. Should be 3.5 really.
Spacey would have been nice for a bit longer for sure. jenifer blowing her girl-next-door thing yet again. Seems determined to.
Quite funny in the typically unsophisticated American way. Pretty predictable in parts.
Jason Bateman holds it together most of the time, and gives it plausibility when it begins to slide into totally comic-strip areas.
Jim Broadbent always the pro, bit like Spall. Did seem very long at times. Best not watch if sleepy. Not sure how accurate to facts, but suspect not far off the mark.
Film catches the era well, and an acteurs delight by the looks............
