Tony Boyle comes out way the best effort. Bill does his shake of head, and looking very frail. Agatha probably wonder what is going on. Fills a space in the evening.
Lot of anguish. Sort of kids film wandering into agony aunt areas. Makes a point and has good messages, but is just so plastic as to be recyclable.
Gave it 3 for old times sake. Long way from Rowdy Yates now. We all going in same direction, but not everyone gets millions of dollars for just being vertical.
Fair play can still remember lines at 89. Harry Dean Stantons last film, Lucky, was way more poignant, still with acting involved............if want to see an old guy deliver, best order that up.............
Is OK. Is different. Basically the two people talk through the whole film. Reeves is a robot, as normal. Odd banter is clever.....bit Homer Simpson with a GCSE...............
Give it a 3 as Richard E is a good actor all day. Had some poor films, but few poor performances. Mel a lot better than her normal offering.......a sort of female Jack Black.
Great film. Well acted without over statement of the obvious. Period backdrop pretty much seamless. Makes all the right points without being patronising.
More of the same, but for the kids is ideal. The colours and lights and the dragons seems to work for them for sure.
Well acted and executed. Not an uplifting film necessarily, but pretty near the mark for then and now. These days would probably included drugs of course.......that would have speeded the process i expect............
Craig version looks like one off. The Swedish films are very good, but subtitles etc. This rolled along pretty much on the character. Gutsy lady for sure.
Step Bros was funny as a one off, but the banal series of films Reilly has been drawn willing into have not been the best. Will has done a couple of decent straightish films, including Elf of course, but many have been dire rubbish.
Steve is known to be capable of acting and impersonations, and lives up to it spot on as Laurel. Reilly is oliver. He not only gets the movement and facial nuance, but also the character.
Saw all their films when was a small kid, as not much else on TV then. The dance routine at the Saloon entrance is just about perfection.
Oscars probably just skip past it all en route for some politically correct outcome.....................
To get one person to a T is clever, but to get two at once, with the inter-action, is unique.
Jude and Depp. What could go wrong? Dialogue goes on and on, with lot of PC graphics in between. May as well watch computer game. Like Potter, is going to go on and on and on.........................
Not a film of course. Is a documentary, but well executed. Sympathetic interviewing and edited efficiently.
Romps along with not much delicacy, but modern girls will recognise the dynamics i suspect..........
Have to give it 4 as there is just so much junk about, and is pleasant change to see some acting at last, and a simple film, with small budget, showing can still have a fun film.
Tom is understated, as always, but, like Geoffrey Rush, just cruises through with perfect timing.
Lavender Hill Mob meets Beautiful Joe.................
Actually is quite good. Totally ridiculous, but, like Waterworld and Mad Max, does keep a pace up. Wild Wild West machine rings a bell here and there.
Doctor Who meets PC games. Leading lady does quite well really.
