I saw the trailer for this film and thought it was going to be an action movie with maybe a bit more style. I was really surprised by what a beautifully filmed, and cleverly paced drama this became. There were many very atmospheric shots of Los Angeles. The development of the main character was brilliantly portrayed. I remember some petty domestic scenes worries ironing and watching the television and laughing at stories in a way which so beautifully captured the essence of the psychopath. There was not too much violence but tremendous portrayal of darkness. Even the car chase had a sense of reality about it. Very chilling beautifully acted and cleverly contrived piece of filmmaking likes of which we don't see enough of from Hollywood. An minded of Babel, 29 Grammes, TransAmerica. Terrific!

I found this hard to watch - hard to keep engaged in. The male characters are so unattractive! But having stuck with it - it does resolve in an satisfying and interesting way. Also everything was so dark and the broken English very...........
