I enjoyed the film. It had action some laughs, and a good cast.
Not a film that is going to tax your brain, but enjoyable in any case.
The actors were good, Mel Gibson is suited to a grumpy old Santa disillusioned with the world. A querky concept for a film. It was okay, could have been better.
I loved the series, has to be one of the best series that I followed with great anticipation. The characters, dialogue, plot lines were all just screen masterclass. As any Deadwood fan knows the series was cut too soon.
This film was made to tie up to loose ends, and was done with the same assured performances by a great cast. Yes, with just 2 hours, and not a whole series, the plot was thinner in some parts.
Having said that, I really can't fault it, as a fan of a rare gem in a time went TV is rammed with shows. I would recommend watching it but, watch the TV series first. A real pleasure.
I though this was told very well in a un-glossy way, perhaps because it wasn't a Hollywood re-telling. This was obviously a tragic event and the film fills that out with not just focusing on the event itself but, adding a bit off background to the characters, the crewmen of the sub. It was a good cast, with a couple German actors who I recognized, although I didn't know their names. Altogether good.
Enjoyed watching this film. Inception-like although not as deep. I liked the scenery, an unusual idea of the cities being flooded, by what I presume is the result of global warming. Especially effective during the night scenes, with the neon lights etc. Cast was good, Hugh Jackman brooding, Thandie Newton a nice touch, always a good performance, and Rebecca Ferguson an attractive femme fatale.
Chose to watch the film purely on the fact that it had Kevin Bacon in it, didn't know anything else about it.
I was surprised, it was a good film. Unusual plot which I liked. Basically, apart from Kevin Bacon, the two young boys made the film. Childhood adventure with a mix of thriller and suspense. Worth a watch.
A true story. Very well done. Rosamund Pike as the late journalist Marie Colvin. What she does is put in her all into this character and it's acting master class. To play someone that lived so recently, with alot of people that still remember her in her world, and be convincing is amazing.
Marie Colvin had her demons, but also a drive to report tradegies of the world. This is shown in the film. Very good.
Liked the film, although I not my favourite. Garfield is a good young actor, and plays the part well enough. Good action as always in these films, enjoyable watch.
Enjoyed this film. As further as prequels go, it pretty much tells you what you need to know, as in the background to the previous films. Some may be offended, middle class whites thinning out the population via the impoverished/ black population! I think most would probably have guessed by now where this film was going to go?... It's a film.
I enjoyed the movie. Some of the poker jargon got lost on me, but I don't think you have to be into poker to enjoy the film. I personally like true event movies, although this isn't a patch on Tom Cruise's 'American Made'. Still an interesting watch.
I liked this film, suspense and a little horror. James McAvoy portrays the characters' different personalities well, and does give you a feeling a menacing foreboding throughout.
Not a bad film, good to watch if you're doing nothing one evening. Followed story ok. Possibly a story that could be followed on, maybe showing some more background, or origins of characters.
Film is about the same as first, rating as enjoyable. Possibly not one I would pay a cinema ticket for but enjoyed but enough, to not be disappointed. Need a big battle if they're making another!!
I enjoyed this film, found it funny. Liked the odd characters, definitely taking the ' mick' out of certain folk in America. All good humour!
I liked the film as I did the others, the first is still the best one, probably as the idea was different. Hope they don't slog the plot to death,.. lol!
