This film was perfect in every possible way, impeccable acting, excellent screenplay, and when it ended I would have been content to view the return journey.
The main actress very skilfully displayed the slow burn determination and anxiety that developed during the Happening. For younger generations it provides an accurate depiction of how society reacted to such events at that time
This film is excruciatingly slow with the characters only able to crawl along slowly in semi darkness, occasionally partially illuminated by unsubtle shafts of light. So far it is the only world cinema film that I had to switch off after 25 minutes since I was becoming catatonic.
Totally incomprehensible and required great willpower to see it through to the end. I would need a lens to find a glimmer of humour and it could only be suitable for world cinema festival buffs...
Plodding, plotless, wooden “acting”, monosyllabic dialogue, naive and highly overrated by media. All in all very disappointing entertainment.
