Following the turbulence of the Munich years, now comes a return to the countryside of Hermann’s roots, finally reconciling former longings and losses. Poignant as ever, with questions unanswered, Reitz’s intricately sculpted narrative never disappoints, but does stir mixed emotions. Will this final series be able to lead us to a peaceful conclusion? Wonderful storytelling!
