Absolutely dreadful. A very laboured film that was an effort to watch. It started out well, but descended into caricature and nonsense - we unanimously switched the film less than half way through, and will not be re-starting it. God only knows how this film got any good reviews - if there was a point to the production it was completely lost on me. Bilge.

Bad things can happen on boats, and they often occur spectacularly. The attitude of the main character here was believable, trying against the odds to survive a fairly hopeless situation. Nice focus on the technical realities of survival, and how important the small thngs are, and in this circumstance they're crucial. Some of the other reviewers here missed the point entirely - the film is not really entertainment, and it's not supposed to be, so don't expect to be entertained - there's more to life than that, surely.
