Oddly bad in so many ways.
Confusing and contradictory "plot". Confuses being a smooth operator with being effective. Avoid at all costs.

A vile film with vile people in nasty countries
There are some films when you just wish that every character would be killed so that it would come to an end. There are no decent or likeable characters and it all takes place in places and countries where the authorities have no control and only the evil survive.
Avoid.

Lively and thoughtful
I don't really understand why I find this French language series with English subtitles so riveting. The subtitles are well done and correspond closely to the French, or so I am told. The concurrent but intersecting story-lines are well handled and the characters developed along the seven series. I am looking forward to the arrival on DVD of the eighth series.
