Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool

A Love Story

(Edit) 16/01/2019

I had heard of Gloria Grahame, but did not really know much about her, or her films. This was an insight to her last days and also a very moving love story. Would like to have known more about what happened to her lover, Peter after her death. A few lines before the end credits would have been nice. Worthwhile having a look at.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi

HopefullyThe Last Of The Jedi

(Edit) 20/06/2018

How very sad to see Star Wars come to this. An overlong film with poor acting that even the special affects and battle scenes couldn't save. It's about time they put this franchise to sleep (as did this episode to me)! Steer well clear unless you are an insomniac.

Blade Runner 2049

Pretentious Plodding Piffle

(Edit) 25/04/2018

Confusing story, plodding plot and laboriously long! Dreadful film. A complete waste of time, and Harrison Ford doesn't appear until you're so bored you have gone past caring. The only highlights were glimpses of Sinatra, Elvis and Liberace at their Las Vegas best.

Avoid at all costs.

Hail, Caesar!

Confusing Tosh

(Edit) 08/11/2017

Hard to define this film. It wasn't comedy, drama or even entertaining in the slightest! A series of vignettes copying old style movies with a silly, very thin, storyline involving a group of intellectual communists kidnapping George Clooney and a cowboy. By the end I was totally confused and bewildered. Not to mention annoyed that I had just wasted a couple of hours (even though it seemed like more) on an absolute load of tosh! Avoid at your peril.
