Didn't have it but didn't much like it either. Jason cannot act for toffee but he is very good at taking his top off at the drop of a hat!
Action scenes made us laugh!
Not really worth the watch.
We found it predictable and boring. Not worth the watch. Producers were just being greedy and cashing in on the success of the first film.
We enjoyed it for what it was. Tom Hanks rarely disappoints and this is a decent movie.
Plot twists are good but I agree with a previous reviewer who questioned the plastic bag. Watch to see what we mean.
This is nice, not brilliant as I'd hoped it would be. James Corden voice is an inspired choice for the lead.
Why the big fuss over the blackberry scene? Yes I understand about his allergy but IT IS A CARTOON. Oddly no one seemed to have a problem with people/rabbits being electrocuted or blown up! Only make sure they don't get pelted by a piece of fruit! I think we've got out priorities wrong here.
There was something missing in this movie and I'm not sure what it was. It certainly has humour on 2 levels which is always good. Worth a watch.
Shirley was 83 when she made this and is incredibly sprightly for a lady in her advanced years. She has lost nothing in her acting ability and this makes Amanda look pretty wooden in comparison. Can't see Amanda S winning an Oscar anytime soon.
If you like and admire Shirley MacLaine then you'll enjoy this gentle movie, if not, then avoid.
This is the typical rubbish that the Oscar panel chooses for best film. It lost me at the start. A research lab bringing in its most incredible find which would have been in total lockdown but no, 2 cleaners are allowed to carry on mopping the floors to have a good look.
What?!
It just got worse and worse with some ridiculous side lines and a song and dance scene which makes your jaw drop open.
Avoid, it is not worth your time.
Yes it's slow to begin with but there is an important story being told.
I think other reviewers only like movies that move at 100 mph. This one does not. It can't as its set in a newsroom.
If you like a carefully thought out story you'll appreciate it. If you like car chases and a high body count then you won't.
I've seen some terribly films that were over hyped. This one slipped in quietly and is very English. Nighy did his usual thing and was excellent.
Enjoyable. Worth a watch.
A clever sequel with the game reinventing itself for a modern generation.
Nothing will ever be as good as the original with the genius of Robin Williams but I think he may have approved of this.
A couple of neat acknowledgements to the first film but it stood up on its own which makes a change.
Suitable for all. Very humorous.
The movie limps along and is kind of ok (nothing special) until the last hour when suddenly the most ridiculous things start to happen. Yes I know it is sci fi but it has to operate within certain confines or you are just off into the realms of la la land. The music gets dramatic and you think something really important is happening but you don't know quite what as you'd already lost the plot.
Not a fan of Matthew M as his delivery is immensely annoying. He seems to try and get as much dialogue out in one breath as he can, it feels really lazy.
If you want to watch a movie where you suddenly scream! What the ....? But not in a positive way, then this is your movie!
A more realistic plot would have had Stephen Hawkin bouncing past the space station on space hopper! Beyond ridiculous.
There are better actors and better films than this.
Yes it has lots of CGI but the people hating this movie wanted another Harry Potter and they are upset that it didn't get served up. This is not Harry Potter!
Yes there are references to HP but it is its own film!!
Enjoy it for what it is! It is harmless fun.
Really and truly wanted to love this as I am a fan of musical theatre but it simply doesn't work. It has none of the magic of the Baz Luhrmann inspired musicals of recent times. Hugh is adequate but not charismatic as you feel he should be. Zac Efron sleep walks his way through it. I've read that the music is catchy and makes you want to return to watch time and time again. We switched off and could not remember a single tune.
This is me I recall being a good number in the film but no idea how it goes now.
It will appeal to some I'm sure but it left us cold not helped by the inaccuracies of this film vs the true story of PT Barnum.
Disappointed!
I read the professional review and they haven't even bothered to get the dogs name right. So they really paid attention. The dog is Baillie, it is said over a hundred times so why did the reviewer call him Tobey? Where did that come from?
This film is ok? If you like dogs then you'll like it but the narration is a bit irritating. I'm sure it could have been done better.
Not bad though, I've seen a lot worse.
Just a bit blah really. Characters are non engaging, daughter adds nothing. All a bit pointless really.
There are much better movies out there than this.
Someone has said that it is loosely based. I always have a look after seeing a 'true story' at the facts vs the movie and this one kept amazingly close to the truth.
If you liked Mrs Brown then you'll love this. I thought it was well acting and underplayed which made a real change and made the characters so much more believable.
This is a very recent find in the history of British monarchs so I found it fascinating.
Good cameo from Eddie Izzard.
