It feels a bit like a really bad remake of Shirley Valentine with Shirley being 30 years older. It does not have the charm of the first movie mostly due to Joan Collins appalling acting! She only limped when she could remember.

All I can think of is that Joan and Pauline must be friends and fancied a jolly in France! Avoid!

When a character says profoundly 'god I miss my dog' in a sci fi movie then you know you are in trouble. Badly written script and badly acted with characters you truly don't care about. Not a great combo! I think the dog might have been better!

I'm really grateful that other people suggested the sub-titles especially at the start when you are tuning into their pattern of speaking. This is beautifully acted film but did not hit the mark.

My low score of 3 is purely because it did not entertain or move me so the writer failed. Acting 5 out of 5. If I had a main criticism, it is too long, the time dragged.

Yes there are holes in the plot but it is science fiction so you have to accept them. This is a great movie, well acted by Damon, very enjoyable.

You can't argue with a true story and from I read there was a lot of truth in this.

Told me a lot about the MacDonald chain and how it started. Interesting but there is a better movie to be made about this than they attempted here.

I didn't know her story so didn't know how it ends. Worth watching as true but it is not a movie that you 'enjoy' watching. I had no idea of the history of the Jersey occupation so I was enlightened to some forgotten history.

A bit of a hard watch.

I would really recommend this true story of sensational ground breaking women. Great performances but all.

Worth a watch!

I found this film a bit tedious. You can't argue with a true story but they dragged it out a bit and it could have been punchier. I was driven bonkers by why it was called Lion! The reveal is in the dying moments of the film.

Showing the real people was the best bit of the movie. Would I recommend? Not really.

This must have been made purely as easy money! It is not enjoyable viewing. You are supposed to believe that Rene is totally irresistible being fought over by 2 men. I imagine she loved this but it was pretty rubbish. Also difficult to accept the 'new face of Rene' she looks plastic! They should have stopped after the first one, which was excellent.

Not recommended at all.

Cannot find any redeeming features in this film.
