It's nowhere near up there with other premier Pixars like the peerless Inside Out, Finding Nemo or any of the Toy Stories. It's a bit better than Up which isn't really saying much.

The narrative drifts all over the place, and if you asked me for an "elevator pitch" for the movie where I had to tell you a plot synopsis in 10 seconds I'd really struggle. It's not sad enough or funny enough and there are no characters other than the lead who you care about sufficiently.

Having said that it's visually stunning as always. Anything with a Day of the Dead theme is treat and it's nice to see a Central American story being told.

But yeah, a bit "meh".

Just what the doctor ordered - snippets of many, many productions from over 50 glorious years of the NT.

Also great to see so many of the established greats on stage alongside newcomers - highlights include Gambon and Jacobi in a Pinter two-hander and Lester with Kinnear reprising their electric chemistry for Othello.

When watching, there's no real need to bed in for the entire duration - dip in and out and enjoy some tremendous theatre.

The best edited and sure-footed film I've seen in quite some time. A small company of actors create something at once fleet-footed yet moving, lots of fun as well as a thrill ride. Turn up your speakers, sit back and indulge in a couple of hours of cinematic joyriding.

Blimey, this is weak. The presence of some established comedy performers occasionally kicks this sluggish Britcom into life but, really, there's very little to commend here. A plot that meanders and ultimately takes you nowhere, a lead character as uncompelling as they come and a film that looks like it cost thruppence to make. If only they'd spent tuppence more on the script, so devoid is it of anything remotely amusing. Avoid and spend your valuable time on something funnier, like grouting the shower.
