It is a beautiful film until the end. What a joke. Ending is appalling. Feel genuinely robbed and massively mislead. This could have been amazing but it's just nonsense.
Don't waste your time. I wish I hadn't invested in this.
I don't really get what people liked about the film. It thinks it is funny but it isn't and even although Matt Damon does improve the film, it still was completely bland to me. I couldn't get it. People keep saying this film "sounds like it would be rubbish, but it's actually good" except it isn't.
I couldn't make it to the end. It felt like people just walking around looking at stuff and looking at each other. And almost a bit intrusive into the main boys life. Other people mentioned above the film feels like it is very pleased with itself for no real reason. I do agree. Glad to turn it off.
Maybe I am too old but this is a bit daft. I liked the querkiness but it was just too off the wall and at the same time boring.
This is such a good film. I would wholeheartedly recommend this. It is quite bleak but completely gripping.
The film has some major errors that make it hard to engage with. The film makers obviously wanted to include the city of London, but it doesn't really work. The locations seemed chosen first with the story planed later. Matt goes from Heathrow to Bank to meet his sister which doesn't make much sense when she could easily meet him at the airport.
They go to what looks like an evening game but the entire day is light.
Too many more to include.
I can't recommend this film. The acting is poor and it doesn't really go together. Disappointing.
I would not recommend this film at all. To say it is weird is being very kind. My opinion is that the film is nonsensical rambling that everyone can do without. I think it's one of those films that people want to be seen to enjoy because it's so highly rated - but not for the sober.
To be honest I didn't finish the film but I was very relived to turn it off and be released from it. No stars.
It's a very good film. Not sure if it's the same for everyone but I started watching and there wasnt any subtitles - so you have to select them otherwise it starts without them.
It's ok. Not worth 3 hours of your life. By the end you really don't care what happens. Possibly one that is over my head. A bit nothingy really.
A film that is thought provoking and uncomfortable and unflinching. Not one I would want to own and revisit but definately feel it gives a lot to think about. I would recommend. I imagine it's one that you "enjoy" more at home rather than the cinema. It makes you feel a lot and a lot of people don't seem to appreciate that but it has hallmarks of greatness for me. fantastic acting and heartfelt performances.
It's quirky and heart warming. I enjoyed it. And it's a film that stays with you. I wouldn't want to see it twice but it was good.
A strange film that doesn't make a lot of sense. A bit like a cross between murder she wrote and kill bill with strange cult/sex flashback scenes. But somehow with so much nudity is still quite bland and boring. Hard to invest or care what happens. Not recommended.
This should be good but it's very painful viewing, I would not recommend and not sure how it got made. Almost nothing going in its favour. Main characters are very annoying and not very watchable. The teenagers are complete brats and the main character/female lead is just useless. Beyond bad.
