I watched this when it first came out on tv & really enjoyed watching the first part again. Superb plot & the acting was spot on from all concerned. I'd recommend it to all.
I've loved Maigret since I was a kid & this reboot with Rowan Atkinson does not disappoint. Very moody & atmospheric of the times it is a flawless piece of work.
There are some films that are so good that any attempt at a remake is bound to crash & burn. This doesn't quite do that but it loses by miles when compared with the original. As a stand alone movie it isn't bad tho, worth watching but that's all.
I love the original Charles Bronson movie & was worried this would be a waste of time but Willis has taken Paul Kearsey & simply modernised him. No over the top performances just a straight forward reboot. Very gory in parts but it doesn't diminish the film.
Easily the worst movie I've seen in well over a year. No matter the acting quality nothing can get past the truly awful script. When you're watching a Superhero/villain movie you expect a bit of action but there was nothing here worth the mention. I would seriously give this a wide berth if I were you.
Has this man ever made a bad movie? I seriously doubt it. While this wasn't as good as the first it was still a cracking good action flic. All the usual ingredients were there, from the friend who turned out to be a baddie to the other friend who got bumped off. There will no doubt be a 3rd instalment & I can't wait
Possibly the worst movie I've seen in the last decade. And that includes the last 2 Terminator movies. The action is more video game than blockbuster movie & the acting is way over ripe. Nobody comes out of this smelling sweet.
