I might be a little biased but did not enjoy the film at all, as a pagan, I really wanted to find some enjoyment and genuine originality in the story and theme, but I find it quite disturbing that this is the ill researched way pagan spirituality is played in films repeatedly and bares no truth to how we practice its quite unsettling to see this type of film is still being made and more far fetched nowadays than its previous similar films would have been. I really wouldn't want to comment anymore other than heed a warning of not to waste disappointing viewing time.
A Very of the wall film, the plot and story are surreal, but if you run with it, and let your imagination go with the film, you could enjoy it s much as I did, I would have liked the main characters to show a little more character if that makes sense. Overall I really enjoyed the film, at the same time as thinking what just happened when it was finished. But pleasantly surprised.
Beautiful touching story, the way its told feels like the sisters are a real family, there is an immediate chemistry, and I love how they showed lots of little special every day moments , the diary story telling is very effective.
The film is a little slow in hard to stay with in places, and seems to unbelievable, but such a different viewpoint for a vampire story that I had to watch it all.
The story is very revealing as to the times and how the acceptance of the transgender people has changed so much, I very much enjoyed the pace of the film and the relationships portrayed, I would have liked the story to be more devoted to the wife's point of view and her strength of character as she carries the film's story so much the balance seemed a little out, to an extent her selflessness made the Danish girl character more eccentric, and self indulgent.
