The story of the 2 men crucified with Jesus. Wooden theatrical acting, bad "authentic" accents and incomprehensible leaps in time. Poor old Jesus could barely string a sentence together with his foreign tongue. Still, it's a good story and reasonably watchable.
A depressed woman goes to Egypt and walks about a bit. She gets laid, gets drunk, cries a bit and sees a fortune teller. It's all beautifully shot among the antiquities, but it's painfully slow and lacking a story. About the most exciting part is when she changes her shirt from a pink one to a blue one half way through.
Geriatric Charles Bronson lookalike Robert Bronzi plays an innocent man unjustly jailed. The prison is rife with corruption and violence. The whole movie is an orgy of tongue in cheek grotesque violence. Quite funny in places, but it's too simplistic. At least the sound was good and fully comprehensible.
Dreadful horror. It mainly takes place in a confined space with a girl being frightened and bullied. Very limited cast.
I don't know, maybe I don't understand the life at the palace, but I kept thinking why doesn't she just do her own thing and ignore the other royals and their customs and ceremonies. The background music was hideous.
Stunning documentary about a free style climber. Climbed alone with no equipment conquering many of worlds most difficult peaks. His climbing style is just unbelievable and the scenery is out of this world.
This alleged thriller from Mexico is is fact a horror. A murderous regime takes over a city, where it carries out atrocities. I watched most of it, but it seemed to be an orgy of violence with no redeeming features.
A young Jewish woman muses about faith and god. Zzz... watched about half of the film waiting for something to happen.
I can't believe that in such a recently made dvd there are no subtitles. I couldn't understand most of the dialog. Pity.
Unfortunately, there are no subtitles. I could only vaguely follow the plot. It's all a bit grim up there in the Scottish highlands.
I am sure this is an accurate description of the care system in the UK, but it's so relentlessly depressing, it will make you afraid of old age.
Time travelling team go back in time chasing another time traveller who is meddling with historical events. Not very engaging. Bad acting/casting perhaps. Lacking in humour or any kind of charm. Gave up after 3 episodes.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this series, but I cannot believe the ending. There is no ending. It just stops. I must have missed something deep and meaningful.
Enjoyed the first 5 series, but in series 6 the cast changed and it no longer worked for me. It's not really the kind of program I usually enjoy, but the early series were tongue in cheek and enjoyable. After that it was just a lot of violence and shooting with not much else.
Watched 3 episodes and lost the will to live. Over complicated yarn jumping all over the place. A doctor tries to save his wife's life after she is refused treatment. He fakes her death and keeps her in a coma in an underground clinic where he makes a living treating criminals. Really?
