This is an excellent film from 1953. A lot of suspense and tension. I bought a DVD of this film from eBay an age ago, but it was extremely poor quality. I hope that when Cinema Paradiso eventually, (if ever), manage to obtain a copy, that it is of prime grade viewing condition.
A jolly good story, but let down badly by the extremely poor quality of the imaging. It reminded me of a bad ‘rip-off’ DVD, copied from, well goodness knows where those people find these old films.
I enjoyed the plot and all the actors played their parts very well. I watched this film on my Apple 13 inch laptop computer and on this size screen, the image was barely passable. There is no was on earth that this could be viewed happily on any sized screen larger than this. Very saddening.
A good, fun film, but the copy sent to me had two segments of about three seconds each, with no sound?
The storyline was good with decent imaging. I enjoyed this film very much.
Having said that, there is however, a small section of the story, which reminded me of how badly wild animals in captivity were treated, way back in days gone by. I’m so glad that, (in the UK at least), this can no longer happen.
Wonderful footage and info, all badly let down by the 4:3 footage being stretched to fit the screen. As far as I could see, there was no way of correcting this. Other than this EXCEEDINGLY annoying factor, the programmes were very interesting.

Please be aware that this DVD consists solely, of Charles Hall talking about his experiences, whilst working in and around Area 51.
