Great spectacle if you like special effects etc. As a story, impossible to understand and hardly enjoyable as far too much concentration needed just to try and comprehend what was going on.
Must admit I got fed up and turned it off after about 90 minutes.
Worth watching with reasonably good plot and production.
A couple of better known actors in the main roles would have made this five stars.
This is so bad you can't believe what you are watching. Cheaply made, poorly acted and so very amateurish. My 10 year old nephew couldn't have done a worse job.
Yes, really it is that bad.
Should come with an appropriate warning to all customers and an apology for wasting their time and money.
Should be withdrawn from CP's rental library immediately.
Billed as a flop at the box office however I was pleasantly surprised at how good this film was. Based on true story of the rescue of US soldiers from prisoner of war camp in 1944, the film is well produced and has some excellent acting performances. Well worth a look.
True story of Billy Moore imprisoned in Bangkok prison. Majority of film is in Thai with only sparse use of English subtitles however I felt this added to the realism as I doubt he understood everything that was going on around him. Very watchable.
My wife who is from Thailand said they used a mix of Thai actors and ex prisoners as the inmates and the Thai small talk was very very real and well acted.
Very violent with a pretty graphic male rape scene and some may not want to watch this right through.
Can only say our UK prisons must be like holiday camps in comparison.
Enough to make Bronson turn in his grave. Plot poor and with little emotion from Willis to events. Film demands some feeling and sensitivity amongst the violence and Willis is the wrong actor for such a part
