The 3D is very good and the images of mountains, lakes, etc. in Austria are pleasant enough.
Note that the quoted 2 hour running time is misleading as the film is only 40 minutes long, but is available in 3 versions of 3D technology, active shutter, red/green anaglyph and red/cyan anaglyph.
Note that the 3D Blu-ray is not active 3D, it's the old school anaglyph type requiring the red/cyan glasses (not provided with this disc).
I have a pair of anaglyph glasses and the 3D quality of the Blu-ray is pretty poor, but maybe the glasses aren't that good?
The film is just dull, a hackneyed and unimaginative re-working/re-make.
The 3D version is dire. I think it's probably fake 3D, post-processed by an idiot computer!
One star for a one-dimensional film; one star for the non-existent three dimensions.
A remarkable story told amazingly well.
The commentary by the two principals is honest and understated and the reconstructions are compelling and realistic.
