Well filmed. That's about it. Utter nonsense, mumbled dialogue, frankly silly plot.
Farm terrorised by flying saucer that turns into a jellyfish.
Great revenge tale reminiscent of Dead Man's Shoes and Kill List. Very raw, very brutal but the performances, particularly Maskell and Hayman, make the whole story very effective. One of those films you press play again as soon as it's finished.
Very confusing plot which even if understandable I don't think would've made a good film. Add to this an inaudible dialogue track all you have left are the action sequences which are good although the reverse running soldiers just look silly.
This offers little more than your average Bond film.
Nolan is clearly a good film maker but this is a complicated idea ill suited to the screen.
I'm told it gets better with a 2nd viewing. I just couldn't do that.
Aimless, meandering, waste of time. The fainting in this film is so poorly portrayed it caps off a generally terrible film. The only positive is Peake's performance and that's brief.
I hate to give a negative review but I picked this film based on Florence Pugh's performance in the brilliant Lady Macbeth but as a result my wife now hates me.
