Having watched the original more times than I care to think about, both with my children and all the grandchildren, I was really looking forward to this.

However, I don't think this holds a candle to the original in any way. The songs aren't as memorable, and the storyline isn't up to much.

that said, I enjoyed watching the film, but just kept comparing it to the original Julie Andrews one all the time.

Enjoyed the first film, even if it was a bit over the top.

This one beggars belief, it really is that bad.
