We all watched this, that's 2 40 year olds and 2 teenagers. We all thought it was a average film. Took a while to get going and unfortunately I think it's a film we are all going to forget pretty quickly. Having said all that, the animation was very good.
We lasted 13.01 minutes I'm afraid. Really wanted to watch this, love Emelia Clarke and Emma Thompson, but this just didn't grab us at all. Perhaps if we didn't have so much else to watch we would've watched to the end, but with plenty of other things to see, we weren't willing to carry on viewing.
Well what a waste of 15 mins, which is all I could manage of this awful film. No idea what was going on, couldn't really see what was going on or hear what was going on. Although Nicholas Cage did seem to be enjoying himself. Avoid.
Ok, so first off Daniel Craig's accent takes a little while to get used to, in fact my wife couldn't get used to it and left the room. But once you get past that, it's a real treat. Gripping all the way through, with many twists and turns and surprises. I'd love to live in the house where it is set. I wouldn't say no to a sequel of some sorts. Great cast as well and a different role for Michael Shannon, from the films I've seen him in. I'd heard it was good, but this was excellent.
I didn't watch this film but my boys did and here's what they said. It was ok, abit boring, the story was all over the place. Not as good as the first one. So from that review, I'd say don't bother.
Don't usually watch these sort of films, as seen these sort of things on syfy and they are trash. Had higher hopes for this film from some reviews, but it was painful. So boring, I wanted the key characters to die really on, but that would have finished the film really early. Although that would have been a godsend.
Very well acted, but extremely slow. Would have been nice to have seen a little more of his art work, what gave him the inspiration and what happened when his career took off.
Stephen Merchant really is a versatile chap, who can turn his hand to anything. Didn't really have any interest in wrestling, but that didn't matter, sorry was compelling, even if a little predictable. But enjoyable to watch and could happily rewatch again sometime.
I heard about this film, because of Liams little interview confession error. However I'd heard it wasn't the normal sort of film for him and it wasn't. Never seen anything like it, some nice twists and surprising ending. Well worth a watch.
Good grief, I didn't last long and had to forward on to the end. But for the brief time lasted, I found it so slow and Dull, just aweful. I loved Upstart Crow and can't believe thanks written by the same person. Very disappointed.
Wow, a master class in acting from Christian Bale and in fact all actors involved. Not a story I thought I'd find compelling, but it really gripped me even though I knew the outcome of a lot of it. Can thoroughly recommend.
Really looked forward to this film, premise is not seen before, but just plain silly. To many cringe moment and far too long. Found myself zipping through the film as had a lot better things to do. Such a shame. Having said all that, don't often see Charlize smile and laugh in a film, so that was a novelty.
Ryan Gosling was perfectly cast in this, can't imagine anyone else playing Armstrong. Ryan does what he's good at, no emotion, lake of charisma. Perfect in Blade Runner 2 as well. Bit I just find him so boring. Whether it's just me, but I seem to be constantly winding back to listen closer to hear what not only him, but his wife are saying and sometimes it's not because of the music going on, but because they are so quiet mumbling. I would say it's because I'm getting old, but I'm only 45! Saying all that, the effects and action were amazing, if not a little hard to follow, but I guess that was accurate.
I knew nothing about the film before I saw it, apart from there was a CGI girl in it. Found it to be an original entertaining film, amazing effects and good story line. Not sure about the ending, I guess aiming for a sequel. Don't know if that will come now Disney has their hands on it, but you never know.
Special effects were amazing, liked the concept of London being a moving city knew nothing about the film before a saw it. Would have liked to have known more about how the earth got into the state it did, although I know that would be a little bit too much back story. I think some of the acting split it for me. The young male hero just seemed so annoying, I found myself hoping he'd die. Anyway worth a watch.
