Slower than wood and nowhere near as useful. We gave up on this tedious drivel way before the end, or even the middle, maybe it has a super finale we will never know or care, a complete waste of acting talent.
Beyond the name, we knew very little of Hedy Lamarr, to say her life was far from dull would be an understatement, well worth a watch.
I found this film very amusing, unsure if that was the emotion the producers of this film intended. The story is far-fetched, but, that is true for most fantasy horror movies. I was not a big fan of Daniel Kaluuya but his performance in this has changed my view on him for the better. Some of the subject matter might offend the easily offended, but, most people will I am sure find this an entertaining watch that does not stretch the grey matter much.
Not a bad effort, but, does have it's moments as in the movie Titanic where fiction gets in the way of historical fact. Hugh Bonneville for example seems more like Lord Grantham from Downton Abbey than a plausible Mountbatten, he is just a bit too nice. That said, the film scores well visually and is interesting to watch, with some good individual performances: Good but not outstanding.
A simple to understand film, well presented with sound acting, not overlong, that is laugh out loud funny, well worth a watch.
A film of two parts: The first third quite expertly draws you in, is intriguing, builds anticipation for what is to come, thereon in, it becomes increasingly ridiculous, drawn out and boring. Having wasted two hours of your life watching this rather odd drivel you may like me feel very uninspired and rather annoyed at yourself for not turning it off way before the end. The moral of the story, decent actors and slick production do not guarantee a watchable film.
