Really enjoyed this film. Incredible to think it really happened.
Nice to see that Elvis had old friends that were there for him. Not everyone was manipulating him.
We managed an hour before giving up. Life’s too short.
Too many characters, unnecessarily long sequences.
We could only make our way through half an hour before I put disc back in it’s envelope.
I don’t think I need to add more but suffice to say the script and editing of some scenes was awful.
Note there’s no subtitles options and if you find you find American and quietly spoken actors (Nicole Kidman) difficult to hear then that’s a pain.
Amusing and interesting view of the events around 1989 Berlin.
Probably half an hour too long hence the 3 stars.
I thought I’d better watch this as it’s supposedly an iconic film from the 80’s. I wish that’s where I’d left it!
Couldn’t get beyond half an hour’s worth.
Amazing account of a Jewish boy’s experience after escaping the Warsaw ghetto. His resourcefulness and the kindness shown to him is heartwarming.
Compelling viewing.
A humorous lovely film. We especially liked the early sequences with the young Salvatore and Alfredo.
Really awful film.
No redeeming features in storyline. Expected more of Geoffrey Rush but he was barely in it.
Sound very poor could not make out what actors were saying and there was no subtitles option on disc.
Don’t waste your time.
