Don't le the fact that you will need subtitles, from putting you off watching this film. It's good to see new World War II movies that are orginal. This is well acted and put tpgether for a low budget WWII film and shows yet more brutaility of war and just what people end up doing to survive and live and just how people can be changed into turning to the dark side of life, when they have lived and breathed under such terrible times. As the saying goes "We should never forget".
This is about as realistic a football LGBTQ+ movie you are going to get, one that was partly helped by the football world, but only a little. We know how closted the world is, partly because of the ridicolous amounts of money involved in the business in the first place. Yes it's a little timid, yes it doesn't turn the football world upside down, but it's a step closer to the eventual truth we will get one day, from a very over closeted cloak and dagger world of a business that hides what it does not like, all because of hundreds and hundreds of millions of pounds it has swilling within it.
I wasn't sure I'd like this, after knowing what had happened at the time the event actually too place. The films sets you up nicely from the start and it's quite alarming as the film progresses and, from a UK point of view, how violent the gun battle becomes at a certain point in the film. It's of course sad that this event actually happened, but it's well worth watching.
This was a surprise hit to watch for and I believe it was a British film too. I have to state this film is well paced from start to finish. This film should have got more attention at the box office. This should have got more marketing and publicity. You really won't be disappointed with this film.
