Not a new film by today's standard.
Mickey Rourke is absolutely excellent for the part.
The Film is shot in a way that we are seeing things through the eyes of Mickey Rourke ' The Ram'wrestler because of his health is forces quit his stage career. We see how losing his identity seriously affected is confidence . Following a major heart attack triple bypass he knows that one more performance, one more wrestling match .... Could the end of him. struggles to regain his identity and his relationship with this estranged daughter.
The film tackles the issues of abandonment loneliness and identity in this really amazing narrative.
He is a wrestler used to being hurt physically hurt but it seems like the emotional wounds are just too much. In the end he wants to go back to what defines him, describes him and gives his life full meaning.
No matter what the personal cost.
Mickey Rourke was brilliant in fact he's a very understated actor
This film is about a young girl in what appears to be a boarding school of some sort.
This desperate young lady sort out methods of abortion which almost kill her.
This actress though is very captivating and plays a really realistic part of the role.
It seems that she's having to choose between her virtues and her education.
Is French film is well worth a watch
If this really is Priscilla Presley's life and I feel sorry for a this young girl.
To me the marriage seemed like a lonely one and Elvis seem to be very insecure wanting her and then rejecting her.
to me it was an abusive situation.
Too young for a man like Elvis not only that concerns around the amount of pills they were popping.
I mean what the hell was she doing taking tablets on someone that wasn't a doctor or nurse.
Costumes were good, Elvis wanting to control everything even the girls image, big black bouffant hair and wing eyes.
This film doesn't really tell us much about Elvis himself just what lousy husband he was.
When is DVD if you want to but don't expect too much.
A boring film mediocre acting
Brilliant Performance from Jamie fox and Kerry Washington.
Having lost his sight following witnessing his younger brother drowning.
It was good to see him rehabilitate. The acting was fantastic.
The music was fab, Jamie fox sounded authentic.
It was also interesting to see the film deal with issues like segregation racial division in America
An Average attempt to depict George Foreman's life starting with his troubled childhood to his boxing glory.
The Former champion then attempts to becomes a preacher.
Some parents with troubled youth approached him George realised the best way to help his community was to set up a youth centre.(boxing club)
His best friend who entrusted me the financial affairs left him near bankruptcy.
George becomes an entrepreneur finally inventing his lean grilling machine.
Having left boxing for some time George then makes an effort to return to the ring
The casting was a bit dubious at times nevertheless it was a gentle take on Mr foreman.
The message of the story seem to be never give up.
George funny meets a woman who has also with God and this marriage works exceptional well
You would have been nice to see a bit more about is boxing career but I think the fight with Frazier and Muhammad Ali had to be the most impressive
Three really low level workers rob the bank.
Diane Keaton is fabulous as is Queen latifah and Katie Holmes.
At times the film is so funny and it Is almost crazy.
Perfect entertainment
This is a really good people driven character piece. What really impressed me about the film is the warm between and solidarity of the girls which later is challenged.
The film picks up on the issue of economics in the wall Street crash and also wall Street men who sometimes make money with deals that leave other people disadvantaged.
The girls can concocted a formula of drugging and maxing out the men's credit cards. A true story....
The men were actually reluctant to report it, as the crime happened in a strip club and they didn't want to admit to their wives friends and employers to find out that they were in strip club.
Ramona the main character played by Jennifer she gives an authentic experience of a pole dancer and striper, hard to believe she was 50 years old when she made this film, in the end a sting operation, gets them busted.
The soundtrack is also brilliant.
The film has a kind of reflective nature almost like a counsellor the girls are telling their story to a journalist.
The film concludes with the philosophy Ramona has "this whole country is one big strip club"
This is a brilliant coming of age film Karidja Toure' is an extremely rare actress, excellent at conveying vulnerability sadness loneliness and toughness at times.
The young girl has a rotten home life and has been left with so few options school and education seem to not be accessible, having been told by the school that she did not have enough grades to stay on at high school.
The journey to adult hood is a difficult one.
It was interesting to see that the director casted an all black cast and the socio economic circumstances that were in it was a brilliantly told story.
My favorite is the Rihanna scene
The main lead was absolutely flawless in her performance. I suspect Karidja will end up being quite an upcoming Star
I love the cinematography and music the use of blue and purple backgrounds at times really emphasised just how awesome the beautiful this actress was.
Chronically in the life of the notorious b.i.g. more than just a man behind rap. Written by his mother Violetta Christopher valance, son, father, husband - lover.
Well written and definitely well casted, Jamal woolard cuts a very realistic depiction of wallace's life
This film covers all the sexual abuse that went on with Harvey Weinstein he follows it through to Harvey weinstein's eventual conviction, people who have been scared frightened ashamed to come forward finally did so it was a compelling piece of work definitely worth watching
Story a little predictable, missing girl trafficked.
Family hires a private detective versus the police
I was very disappointed by this series I felt it could be a little bit bland in areas, and I think they try to create a story which they thought the public might like.
although it did not seem honest or realistic it lost its "Buzz"
No Samantha Kim Catrel either.
Big dies which is awful it placed carrie a difficult predicament -almost like she was back in the beginning. The children have grown older lily and Brady and rose the goldenblach family seemed to have matured.
Lilly is a serious musical wonder
Lots of stereotypes and innuendos trying to throw in as many black people as they could someone non-binary and gay but it didn't really work because it still based upon the stereotypes and a certain narrative.
Very disappointed feels incomplete.
This is a film about the Gucci dynasty, an Italian fashion house, Lady Gaga carries an intense performance, as Patrizia - love the costume and dress, the clothes really takes you from the 70's to the 90'S. Maurizio Gucci the shy husband training to be a lawyer at the start of their marriage
The marriage becomes interwoven with the business and power struggle. The Gucci family is a difficult industry to deal with,
Maurizio begs the wife (Patrizia) to stay away from Gucci - forcing away from the empire. Maurizio is shot, followed by investigation and imprisonment of the wife and other family members for tax some died in poverty
The light at the end is tom Ford, great movie would have liked more fashion....
Ridley scott trumps a great cast of actors lady gaga really carries her weight, in this demanding role.....House of Gucci
Matt Damon is totally convincable as an oil rigger, not so keen on the story line, strange to see him in a French film, he has a quiet demeanor subtle but powerful performance. The ending was strange, it would have been nice for him to end with the woman and child
An honest and plain portrayal of a young man, bullied in a pupil referral.
Pushed out with a poor single mother he slowly transcends into a power world
Drugs, this almost costs him his life, crossing county lines, from a nurturing brother to dealer.
Conrad Khan is a brilliant young up and coming actor
