I had to switch this off after 30 mins because the concept of that woman falling for that ridiculous man was just too ridiculous. This seems to be a theme with some movies. Call me old fashioned but movies about real people and situations need to be realistic to me.

Dreadful.

As a friend said:

'A particularly nasty aspect of the film was it's treatment of women, who were either prostitute playthings or psychopaths.'

A pale shadow of the original IMO.

I've enjoyed Leonardo DeCaprio in a number of films and thought I'd give it a try. I gave it about 30 minutes but couldn't take any more. Leonardo, with all his wealth and opportunity to do good for humanity chose to spend his time making this grotesque, debauched movie.
