Did'nt know what to expect as not read reviews. Story about revenge by a young woman taken advantage of years ago

and opens your eyes to the murky side of 'club' life. Found it quite entertaining but not really my type of movie to be honest.

Was really excited when this movie was released, looked right up my street but was disappointed.

Found it a bit hum drum although story line plodded on quite well. It was well acted and some lovely

1950's costumes seen at Dior fashion show. Nothing to get excited about.

Took a while to warm up but found this movie quite entertaining. Good acting from all parties with a good story line

to match. Well worth a watch.

Good thriller and keeps you enthralled. Actors brilliant and good storyline which keeps you interested right

up to the end. This movie was recommended to me as I love thrillers and can't say I was'nt disappointed.

Jim Broadbent wonderful in this 1960's drama which I can fully relate to being a 50's child.

Kids these days don't realise how hard it was for youngsters born just after the war.

Good storyline which ticks along with some great humour with Helen Mirren playing the long suffering wife.

A great way to spend an hour and a half - I watched it twice ! Thoroughly recommend.

Never watched such a rubbish movie in all my life. Darts this way, then another and totally weird !

To say I lost the plot is an understatement. No storyline and poor acting going around in circles.

Not my sort of entertainment. Need I say more.

Lover of Sex & the City was looking forward to watching this. I know time has moved on and characters older but

the whole thing did'nt work for me. Overacting and trying too hard and of course, always centering around Carrie

who by the look of it the only one who hasn't succumbed to surgery. In fact, she looked so emancipated and in need of

a McDonalds felt quite sorry for her !

This was highly recommended so thought I would give it a go.

From the first episode this series will get you thoroughly hooked. Series 2 currently showing on uk tv but

no good if you haven't seen series 1, you need to start at the beginning to get the full story.

It's about lies & deceit being carried out by 2 pregnant women from very different backgrounds.

It will be very interesting to see how this first series unfolds. Give it a try.

Being a New York fan found this series from HBO very interesting and been waiting for it to become available

to rent. Tells the story of New money versus Old money in the 1890's and implications/resentments it caused.

It's like a parred down Sex & the City in my opinion, not so much a serious historical drama.

I'm thoroughly enjoying it. 2nd series on it's way by all accounts.

Watched this movie for 15 minutes and turned it off. Canned humour and desperate acting was too much to bear

and did'nt consider 'entertainment'. Better luck next time.

Good movie for the whole family as adults and Kids alike can relate to the writer.

Good cast and story unfolds quite naturally. Could watch again.

Good main leads, plods along a bit at first but a good story nonetheless and worthy of watching to the end.

What a harsh life and how lucky are we ?

Can't stop watching this, series after series. Completely hooked - and riveting !

Every episode is a new story but has an underlying dialogue on the actors lives and loves

which continues throughout.

Really enjoying this series currently on tv and thought I would start back at Season 1 where they all look 15 years younger !

Lovely setting as you would imagine and very good stories expertly executed. If you like Vera you will like this.

Never seen Kate Winslet like this and so refreshing as she fits the part perfectly. Complex murder mystery so don't trot off for a cup of tea

whilst running or you will miss the good bits. Need your wits about you too remembering lots of in depth family problems and the murder plot with suspects, which are many. Intricate, with lots of twist and turns which add suspense. Thoroughly enjoying this and can't wait for the second disc to arrive for the conclusion. Praying a Season 2 is in the pipeline !
