Having really enjoyed the first film, this one was a huge letdown. Rubbish plot, wooden acting and the 80s setting - which I'd thought would add to the fun in a Strangers Things type way - adds nothing. It seems they were trying to be knowingly cheesey with the 80s angle, but it isn't funny and just makes the film seem even more creaky. Don't bother is my advice!

The title is essentially my review. I thought Chapter One was decent enough but this was terrible. Massively over-long, ropey acting, gimmicky scenes that aren't scary. It reminded me of the numerous Nightmare on Elm Street sequels in the 80s which became bad taste (unfunny) comedy pieces with Freddy as the pantomime villain. Don't waste your time renting this!
