A positively great movie. I think it captured the era and the band brilliantly. A must for any Queen fan.
Martin Clunes was very good. Keeley Hawes beautiful and articulate as always. I enjoyed the film very much, though I found it a little disturbing, and learned a lot about this killer.
Being a big fan of Downton the TV series I was very much looking forward to the film, though a bit sceptical about the transition from small screen to big screen (many successful TV series have not made the transition to the big screen very well). Filmed beautifully of course, with the cast returning to the roles convincingly, I found the main storyline a little weak and pointless___ it didn't hold me gripped as the TV series had done. I hope they don't decided to make another film as I don't think they can possibly equal the series or even this film. For me___ leave Downton where it belongs....
I enjoyed it. Keira Knightley was quite believable in this role. Supporting cast was very good too. Having being out of the UK at the time of the event it was good to get another take on the events.
An evergreen favourite classic. The story is always good no matter how many times it is revived. This re-telling is very good (albeit different from others) and the cast was great. Saoirse Ronan and Emma Watson shone in their roles. While Laura Dern and Meryl Streep never fail to deliver. Watch it with an open mind and I'm sure you will see it's merits.
