This interesting series follows an average Yorkshire family of 5 (maternal grandad and grandma, mum and 2 sons) as they go back in time to WW2. They are moved to a made over 1930s semi in a Kent suburb which received bomb damage in the Battle of Britain. From the highs and lows of Anderson shelters, ARP wardens, rationing and the kitchen front, digging for victory, volunteering... you get a small insight into what life was like in the 1940s. You get points of views from the family as well as guests (including food guru Marguerite Patten), war experts and eye witnesses.
