It's Dublin 1979 and life is about to change for 13 yr-old Maeve who's trying to make sense of everything all at once - bodies, boys, friendships and family. Her best mates wear bras already (except Claire the feminist) and they've all had boyfriends, expect Maeve. When she attracts the attention of heart-throb Brian and sneaks out to the local nightclub The Grove, Maeve soon finds herself snubbed by her mates and in serious trouble at home.
