- Based on the legendary Japanese story. In the aftermath of a lethal confrontation under the Shogun's roof, the domain of Ako is shut down, its ruler forced to commit suicide, and its samurai cast out, forced to become masterless, wandering ronin. One loyal retainer, Oishi Kuranosuke, vows to avenge his lord, enlisting dozens of his henchmen in an elaborate scheme that takes months of plotting and careful intrigue.
