San Francisco, 1968: As the family of conservative Hungarian immigrant Zoltan Szabo struggles to live 'The American Dream', America itself is beginning to change around them. His son Peter is kicked out of college, goes to work for an enigmatic biker and becomes swept up in the politics of revolution. Meanwhile, his brother Sandy drifts from marriage to the military while attempting to confront his own sexuality. In a time of chaos and confusion, can two young men make- and survive- the choices that will change their destinies forever?
