what was this, hollywood idea?

colin farrell`s accent, still irish, but his caracter was not, Angelina Jolies accent changed about four time from bad russian to strange persian, action scenes ok, but over blown, not as accurate as expected from oliver stone, but if you like comedy and have 2hrs 40 minutes to spare then worth a look with a few cans and some friends.

Terrible

Way too much hype. I found the film immensely tedious. It sent me to sleep both times I tried to watch it.

Alexander

A historical epic in the style of Troy and Gladiator, the film looks fantastic, and from the extra commentary, does appear to have been researched fully. Whilst so much effort was put into making it as historically accurate to Alexander The Great's life as possible, it was incredible to hear several dreadful Irish accents creeping in. Why that was allowed is a mystery, nevertheless, the film is strangely gripping, and the possibility of Alexander's homosexuality also gives the film a darker edge.

Disappointing

I thought that perhaps the score by Vangelis might redeem this movie, but it could not. Countless lost opportunities for some reasonable historical reflection were sacrificed on the altar of ....I'm not sure exactly what; a kind of macho fascination with visual effects maybe.

Alexander the not so Great

I didn't think this was all I expected it to be. The plot seemed wayward and unfocused. It didn't keep me on my seat or involved enough. Its historical element was probably the best thing, but action and enthrallment was sadly lacking!

Alexander the grating

A dire film, which was a complete waste of of the 2 hours I fought through before admitting defeat.
Terrible acting, a disjointed plot and some comical irish accents all made for a complete turkey. Be warned this film is truly attrocius. Oliver Stone should be embarrassed.
