A woman (gorgeous ex-model Amira Cesar) stands in a gay bar, observing the men and their shared desire, with their requisite need for nothing else. She retires to the ladies room where she slices her wrists. When asked why by one of the clubs protagonists (internationally known porn star Rocco Siffredi), she replies ‘because I am a woman’. This is how they meet. The Girl proposes that she pay him to watch her in ways ‘that are unwatchable’ and so begins four nights of confrontation, her against him. Four nights to confront the unspeakable, to explore what can’t be shown: that which is secret. Adapting her own, poetic-polemic novel for the screen, Catherine Breillat takes her trademark exploration of gender-politics and sexual mores to a shocking conclusion. - Actors:

Bizaare - Anatomy of Hell review by CP Customer
This movie will put your off women for life, used tampons used as a tea bag. Packed full of long pauses of staring which if removed would make this movie about 10 minutes long.

Somewhat of a grower - Anatomy of Hell review by CP Customer
When I started watching this film I did not really enjoy it and found some of the sexual references unpleasent but as I got to get more involved in it I really enjoyed it.
For me the film is an exploration of the differences and mutual fears of our opposite sex. This is explored and is very illuminating.
Not an easy film by any means but very rewarding if you try.

This film is well named as I felt i had been shown the door to Hell while watching it.It is a promotion of female self-loathing that doesn't shy away from repetitive ,revolting scenes which are hung with existentialist maxims and pseudo-psychological diagnoses.
