One of the best comedies ever
- Anchorman review by CP Customer
I first saw Will Ferrell in Zoolander, his style is totally over the top if you like this sort of style then this is the movie for you.The whole film is a total piss tke of the news corporations in the 1970's with its male dominated news rooms.I don't know what film the other reviewers were watching but I found myself actually crying with laughter at some points. Its one of those films that if you like his style its for you, if not.Avoid

Over the Top & Boring
- Anchorman review by CP Customer
I theory this film could be good but its not for the simple reason that its not funny, it far to over the top and the jokes are boring and sad. It may suit others but for me it was a bit boring.

As you can quickly tell from reading the other reviews, Anchorman is a Marmite film; you either love it or hate it.
My two children and I laughed our way through 90 minutes of childish jokes, sexism, misogyny and poor taste. And frankly loved it.

did anyone like this?
- Anchorman review by CP Customer
Wasn't my choice of film, but I tried to veiw it with an open mind. A so-called comedy about a sexist bigot, lacked humour and interest. I gave up after nearly an hour .

HILARIOUS!
- Anchorman review by CP Customer
I am not sure how anyone can find this film UNFUNNY! True that some of the humour is quite outlandish and random but if you like other Will Ferrell, Steve Catrell Films such as '40 year old virgin' or ' Blades of glory' you will absolutely LOVE this. Set in a 70's News room, the film makes fun of the hyped up stardom obtained by Ron Burgandy - the local anchorman! There are some absolutely hilarious moments in this like a group comedy rendition of 'Afternoon delight' which had me rolling off the Settee straight to the replay button of my remote. I think men seem to 'get' this film more than women as quite often the humour can be rather random.

Not funny
- Anchorman review by RW
So sad that American humour is so off-base for an adult. Maybe 10 year olds will enjoy it but it left me cold. It is a pity really as the story had great possibilities which is why I hired it in the first place.

Overrated, even as a spoof
- Anchorman review by AB
Tries far too hard to be gross, over-the-top and being a spoof of a genre.
Not very amusing at all and struggles to be rated as a comedy.
Watch it, suffer it, then forget it.

Adolescent crap
- Anchorman review by CP Customer
Unlike a previous reviewer who cried with laughter, I wept with despair.
What a laod of bloody childish rubbish!
