- Synopsis:
- The brutal murder of two young white girls results in the wrongful execution of a young African-American boy. Thirty years later, his brother, war-torn Green Beret James Bragg (Louis Gossett Jr.), investigates the facts to clear his name. With the aid of a local lawman (Bruce Dern) Bragg must delve into the town's history in order to deliver the real killer to justice. But, some unsavory locals will stop at nothing to prevent Bragg from revealing the dangerous truth.

Judicial Murder - Carolina Skeletons review by CM
Lou Gossett Jr & Bruce Dern's performances keep the film just above mediocre; what makes it poignant & horrifying is that the judicial murder of the character 'Linus Bragg' is based on what actually happened in South Carolina to George Stinney, Jr, who was exonerated many years later.
