Car Crash
- Cars review by CP Customer
The only reason I watched this is because of Toy Story, that is such a good movie that I felt that this Pixar offering would be worth a look, don't get me wrong its good to look at, but aren't they all.The main problem with this film is plot, it doesn't seem to have one and if it does it is so drawn out that it totally loses it.Another issue I had was with the cars themselves, why make the windscreen the eyes and not the headlamps its a minor thing but for me it just didn't work.So to sum up although this is a "Family film" it really is a kids film that the adults will have to endure.Best of luck parents. And Pixar, well its back to the drawing board, literally, for you, better luck next time.Oh and parents, if you really want to watch a top class animated film go for Madagascar or Iceage.

Cars - Perfect for budding racing drivers
- Cars review by CP Customer
We saw this at the cinema when it first came out. My boys are aged 7 and 5 and love cars so they really had to go and see this. My older boy loved it - the racing, the different cars, he thought it was wonderful! However, my 5 year old found it a bit boring as it did seem to be a very long film. Needless to say they had to get the game for their Xbox.
It's a decent film to watch, with an underlying theme that the kids don't really notice - but as an adult I preferred Shrek.

Great Family Entertainment

I didn't like Cars at first because it starts at the NASCAR race track and is so deeply submerged in American culture that it got on my nerves. However, I am glad my nieces aged 8 and 4 were with me as I stuck with it and really enjoyed it. The quality of animation is fantastic and the character building is good. There are some underlying moral messages to do with pride, friendship, humility and loyalty which most kids will probably miss but it can't do them any harm to hear them. My nieces loved it and liked the cheekiness of the main character, and I liked it because it taught them that being cheeky can get you into trouble!

unexpectedly good!

i'd grown tired with watching every new computer animated film that came out. seemed like all of them were blurring into each other.
but other people had really enjoyed this one, and when i saw it i was pleasantly surprised. of course the cgi was flawless and the characters full of... character. but the story was grounded and well thought out... and well executed. i really would recommend this film. it's not my favorite animation, but it's a good one to see with the family.

You would tink this film is for children, well yes it is but adults alike. My husband and I thought it was so funny so much so we watched it again. It has a great story line and not predictable as you would imagine.
Loved it and would really reccomend to all ages.

Once you get over the initial 5-10 mins that is really for NASCAR fans only this film builds into a interesting film with a definiate message.
Some great characters and clever touches really bring the cars to life makes you want to head off down route 66 and find your own Radiator Springs!
