A decent supernatural thriller.
- Case 39 review by CP Customer
This is a fairly decent supernatural thriller which is very similar in tone to films like 'Omen', 'Orphan' and the 1972 film 'The Other'. It's an enjoyable film, not that scary and a solid rental. That said, if you've not seen the 2009 film 'Orphan' I would rent that first, it's a much better movie with a clever storyline and a far, far meaner little girl!

If there is a sequel will it be case 40?

I liked it. At times I was fearful for Renee (Emily) and it did keep me in supense. It certainly makes you think - how would I overcome such a situation? - and realise that maybe there are things we cannot understand. If you like supernatural thrillers then watch it!

Average film with its twist somewhat spolit if you have already read the film summary. That said it is an enjoyable enough film and worth watching.

Renee does Horror
- Case 39 review by JD
This is a pretty straightforward horror film. Some average acting by McShane and Zellweger, but an impressive performance by the girl Cooper. Like most horror the point is not a plot that hangs together, but the shock factor. For shock this is pretty good. The producers have so clearly left scope for a Case 39 part 2 that it made the end a bit inconclusive.

Thrilling Zellweger
- Case 39 review by CP Customer
This is not a typical horror movie. This is a scary, jumpy film well made. Well acted by Zellweger. This makes you think twice about believing a child over an adult...
