Great fun, but also has a serious message for all you workaholics....dont put work, before your family.

This is an OK film but not really that funny. There are a couple of amusing bits, one being particularly crude. You also have to endure Mr. Walken being, well, Mr. Walken (does he ever act in a different style these days).
Yes it was mildly entertaining but really quite average. One of those where you don't bother hitting pause when you get up to go to the toilet....know what I mean?
Typical Adam Sandler movie then...nuff said.

Average Adam Sandler film

Definitely some funny scenes to this film, a few slightly mediocre scenes too.
It does have a good message to it about always putting family first, it just took a little too long for my liking to get to the point.
Also, what is with Sandler & the O'Doyles? I am thinking a kid with this surname used to tease him as a kid!

i got a christmasy "wonderful life" feel from watching this, i think if it was set at christmas, and not thanksgiving it would become (eventually) a classic like "AWL" some good comedy in the first half, turning into a regret filled and very dark loss of life urgency in the second, i think the cover-art is very misleading and the movie needs to be promoted differently
